Dur- ing the summer the group participated in six festivals that were held in the local area. and enjoyed their annual picnic at Kishacoquillas Park. Members of the Band also participated in the Juniata County Fair that was held at Port Royal in September. During October and November the group traveled to Belleville and Leyyistoyvn for the Hallovyeen parades. The Band was also included in the Penn- sylvania State liniversity Annual Band Day at State College on November Sth. The Eighth Annual County Band vvas held at Menno-Union on April 5. 6. 7. Twenty' members from our Band were at the event. Members from our school for Central District Band at Philipsburg vvere Robert Houser. Jeannine Young and Judy Dufur. The Band consists ot' 65 players. 8 tvyirlers. 6 color guards and a head major- ette. On July I7-IH Janet Gray and Dick Hafer had the pleasure of attending the National Tvvirling Clinic held at Red Lion. These members ot' the Band are graduating this year: Shirley Pennepacker. Betty Jamison. Barbara Kline. Janet Gray. Joyce Polliard. Nancy Bixler. Margie Treaster. Beverly Daniieantonio. Mary L. Bubb. Nlaija Rozitis. Peggy Crumling. Peggy Wright. and Robert Young.
