Nearly 60 cyclists, riding in I5-minute shifts, pedaled for nine hours and arrived early for kick-off. Sixt cbs Pedal To ETSU Game Some sixty Rebel Rousers, students, and cheerleaders banded together for the Great Bicycle Ride from Arlington to Commerce forthe East Texas State University game this year. The crew arrived on time to cheer the Rebels on to a 7-6 victory over the Lions. The marathon bicycle trip, sponsored by Rebel Rousers to build spirit and spearheaded by Rusty Russell, covered a distance of 80 miles, but only three riders made the entire distance. David Watson and Susie Wine rode a tandem bike more than 50 miles. Larry Bauer, vvho rode his bicycle all the vvay to Commerce and back, was named Top Cyclist for his efforts.
