i l i l i l I L l Form is the product of a definite design. Architects at ASC have been striving to give the campus a sense of unity. The master plan for the campus is coming to life, instead of being a distant goal. The campus is achieving symmetry. Definite plans for structure and similar designs are being used in the new buildings. The forward progress of the campus is marked as each proposed change becomes a reality. Our growing campus has attained beauty with a definite character of its own. Form and structure are the physical properties that make the campus real and tangible. They are the only properties by which a campus visitor can judge ASC. Although additions will be made modern, many of the present structures will remain the same and will link the future college to the past college. I O is a requirement that any organi- zation must have in order to function as a complete unit. Arlington State satisfies all the necessary demands of being a complete institutiong but it also contains some outstanding attributes. Forty-one per cent of the entire faculty hold doctoral degrees and a majority of these are in the field of science. Students have created a composite of campus govern- ment, extracurricular activities, and academic responsibility. The enrollment indicates that approximately one-third of the students major in Business Administration, and one-fourth major in Engineering. Together, the students, faculty, and campus of Arlington State form a composition indicative of a growing college. reflects the progress of an organism's growth. At first, slight and undetailed motions occurg but with maturity, dynamic gestures result. Arlington State College is following this same pattern of movement in becoming one of the largest colleges in Texas. The student body appears as the major portion of Arlington Statels move- ment. Each dissected part of the campus functions with deli- cate and intense movement, Sometimes slow, sometimes tedi- ous, sometimes rapid, and sometimes fun, the movement all has one result - a progressive college. Other activities such as dances, rush parties, bonfires, and social entertainment pro- vide for the survival of movement.
