Pi Sigma Epsilon captured first place honors in the float competition with the theme liebe 'fake a Pound of Tiger Flesh. In keeping with the parade th'-me of ShalceHpf:arf:'n Shenanigans, the next two honore were given Alfaeig for Ambush the Tigers and l'af:hl Hall for Sl'iakeepearf:'e Prophecy. A total of 19 floats vied for honors, Judging the oontest were Mrs. Harold Watson, president of the Arlington Women's flluhg Dr. llorafge I . Cilleepie, Dean of Meng Tommy Vandergriff, maiyor of Arlington: Dan Could, vice-president of the Arlington Chamber of Commerceg and Kenneth Lelilane, chairman of the special events committee. The traveling trophy for dorm decoration went to Davie Hall which took advantage of its balconies to display scenes from Romeo and Juliet. Lee House and Lipscomb Hall also entered the decorating contest. Dr. Clayton Eichelberger, professor of Englishg H. A. D. Dunsworth, head of the mathematics departmentg and Steph- en Rascoe, instructor of art, judged the contest. X.-. -- t..:p,, iwrfafiiiss H 970 Students Live in Dorms Residents of the five dormitories on the ASC campus enjoy many conveniences. The dorms are well-equipped and comfortable, and they provide adequate study and entertainment facilities. Lipscomb Hall is the only women's dorm at ASC. There are three men's dorms, Men's Hall A, Pachl Hall, and Davis Hall, which is the military dorm. Lee House is a privately owned coed dorm on the campus. A spirit of cooperation among the students is the main factor in dorm life. Top: Boy meets girl in the friendly atmosphere at Lipscomb. Middle: Dixie Dunbar relaxes in her room.
