Campus life became increasingly important this year because of a greater number of students partiripating in aetiiities. Although the problem of too many commuters still existed, the number of dorm residents inrreased. as did the number of students living in the mushrooming colony of nearby apartments. Homeeoming and Old South, highlights of the fall and spring semesters, respectively, included more artit ities than ez er before. Also, concerts of such diverse types as the Vienna Choir Boys, the Lettermen, and Lionel Hampton and his orchestra, and free showings of movies such as Two Women, Winter Lights, Atlzrise and Consent, and To Kill a Mockingbird sparked the in- terest and attendance of infreasing numbers of students. .Yew eientseefestiial Italiano and Peace Corps Week-drew considerable interest during the .spring semester. Festiral Italiano featured a semi-formal dinner-dance and showings of La Dolce Vita, which dren overlllou' rrourls.
