I : Everything about the 1966-1967 Chronicle seemed experimental: an inexperienced but dedicated staff, a new adviser, and sweeping changes in the format of the paper. The new appearance of the Chronicle was a success, for the very first issue broke an all-time sales record and happily erased financial worries for the rest of the year. The staff’s hectic year of work is rewarded by the traditional banquet in April, and at these festivi- ties Aunt Minerva’s true identity is disclosed. A poll of comments should reveal why this year was unforgetta- ble for everyone who worked on the Chronicle: “Wait! I can’t find the headline article!” . . . “This will be the first time in fourteen years there’s been no November issue” . . . Tony, taking a picture of the ceiling . . . “My glasses! I can’t find my glasses!” . . . Mathman lives . . . 58.33 per cent of the assignments turned in . . . photographers’ passes . . . “Send the Chronicle staff to Florida!” . . . “Where are our press cards?” . . . “Dear Aunt Minerva, my boyfriend’s hair is longer than mine. What should I do?” (signed) Ara- bella . . . “Dear Arabella, buy him a bald wig, of course!” . . .
