PREFACE Three years spent as students in high school have seen us grow in in- tellectual depth and physical stature. The acquiring of knowledge was our goal, the power that will help us mold our futures. In the past we have always taken for granted so- ciety’s benefits; now with maturity we must give a share to a world in need of assistance. Today’s chang- ing affairs require stable minds. Communism is striving for suprem- acy; public indifference is threaten- ing our American heritage; the pow- er of the atom is endangering our very existence.
