In particular, we are indebted to the members of the English Department for the considerate help and guidance that they have kindly given us throughout our eventful years in high school. These dedicated teachers have fostered in us habits in reading, writing, and speaking — useful training which we not only have used to advantage in English but also in other subjects. Without an extensive background in English, we would have been greatly hindered in our daily tasks. Truly, our debt to the English Depart- ment of Arlington High School is one we can never repay. As a tribute to these devoted teachers, we gratefully dedicate our class year book to them. Their untiring efforts in our behalf have without doubt prepared us to go on to achieve success in our further education and in our future careers. 4
