Gilbert and Sullivan Club President Vice President Secretary Treasurer Claudia Hefler James Fantazian Susan Hurd Judith Taylor The Gilbert and Sullivan Club is a musical organization which each year pre- sents a musical production featuring the vocal and instrumental talents of the mem- bers of the student body. Originally organized to produce the popular operettas of Gilbert and Sullivan, the club has varied its program in the past three years to in- clude a variety show, and operettas by other composers. When we were sophomores, a variety show was presented. Our junior class en- joyed the comic operetta, “Babes in Toyland,” and in our senior year “The Fortune Teller.” DAVID CLARK BUCK PAUL DAVES BROWN Football ROBERT JAMES BREWER Red — Student Council, Treasurer; Year Book Committee; Allied Youth ARNOLD JAY BRADFORD Honor Roll; Chess; Chronicle; Finalist, National Merit Scholar- ship; Year Book Committee DEBORAH ANN BRAYTON Debbie — Chronicle; Gilbert Sul- livan; Glee Club; Latin Club; Year Book Committee; Honor Roll CELESTE JEANNE BRODEUR Girls Athletic Association; Office Assistant; Bowling; Tennis, Honor Roll 23

The Band is one of the most important organizations in Arlington High. Our football games and rallies would not be so enjoyable if it weren’t for their effective music. And whether the sky be bine or gray, they are always ready to march down the field in their smart-looking uniforms of maroon and gray. This year the band con- sisted of forty-seven members, who were under the leadership of Mr. Hermance. Along with the football players, they also have their practicing to do. You can hear the strains of the Red and Gray sounding forth from the Lowe Auditorium during Friday afternoon practices. They did a wonder- ful job this year, and Arlington High is proud of them. The majorettes in their colorful and attractive cos- tumes certainly add a brightening touch to the band. This year’s group of girls were led by Barbara Tourte- lotte. Their many hours of practice were rewarded by wholehearted applause for their wonderful performances on the football field which everyone thoroughly enjoyed.
