Hefler, Pianist; Mr. Einzig, Director Sextette “I ' ll get along, as long as a song is here in my heart” could very well be the motto of the Girls’ Sextette. Their singing has brightened many of our assemblies as well as provided enjoyable entertainment. The group was organized two years ago under the direction of Mr. Einzig and Mr. Sullivan. Every spring, tryouts are held for new candidates. The sextette has sung at neighboring high schools as well as banquets and numerous town functions. Their songs will always be remembered in our “Halls of Ivy.” ROBERT JOSEPH BOUDREAU Bob PETER JAMES BOROYAN CATHERINE PATRICIA BIGLEY Cathy — Chronicle; Office Assist- ant; Year Book Committee; Ten- nis; Allied A r outh; Pep Club JOYCE ANN BITZER Jozie — Glee Club ELINOR CAROLE BLAKNEY Gilbert Sullivan; Office Assist- ant RICHARD BELLOWS BLANEY Dick 21

The club held its meetings on Mondays during school, while a Jun- ior Club met after school. We girls always looked forward to the day when we would be the guests of a neighboring school. In past years, we have participated in programs at both Melrose and Natick High Schools, the Christmas radio broadcast, assemblies, and special programs. Even our student body awaited anxiously our group singing programs, as these assured a fresh pick-up to start their day. The Band is one of the most important organizations in Arlington High. Our football games and rallies would not be so enjoyable if it weren’t for their effective music. And whether the sky be bine or gray, they are always ready to march down the field in their smart-looking uniforms of maroon and gray. This year the band con- sisted of forty-seven members, who were under the leadership of Mr. Hermance. Along with the football players, they also have their practicing to do. You can hear the strains of the Red and Gray sounding forth from the Lowe Auditorium during Friday afternoon practices. They did a wonder- ful job this year, and Arlington High is proud of them. The majorettes in their colorful and attractive cos- tumes certainly add a brightening touch to the band. This year’s group of girls were led by Barbara Tourte- lotte. Their many hours of practice were rewarded by wholehearted applause for their wonderful performances on the football field which everyone thoroughly enjoyed.
