ISTfQEYy 5 I 1. Q ff? Pi it rr 'z P .zz if y? rf 'Y' ! We set out for a twelve-year educational trip in Arlington School in September, 1938, with Miss Bernice McMichael as our Admiral. On the first stop of our voyage, we had a very good time and also learned many things that would make us more sea- worthy travelers. Through the next five years we touched port with Mrs. Mil- dred Shockency, Mrs. Mary Alsman, and Mrs. Frances Whitinger, adding new members to our crew and also losing some. Much to everyone's delight, we finally landed on the isle of Junior High School and we felt very grown up. Mrs. Winslow taught most of the classes in these two grades with the help of Mr. Pearl and others. In September, l9h6, our crew was set for High School. The Seniors thought it time to welcome us to the land of Freshman, and so we were initiated. We chose crew officers for the first time: Bonnie Mitchell, President, Marvin C. Beckner, Vice- Presidentg Wanda Newhouse, Secretaryg and Mary Lucille Ritter, Treasurer. Mr. Potts was aboard ship to represent the faculty. As Sophmores we ventured forth once more on the sea of knowledge. We got our class rings that year and established a class treasury. The class officers this year were: Jackie Love, Presidentg Wanda Newhouse, Vice-Presidentg Mary Lucille Ritter, Secretaryg and Mary Louise Hutchinson, Treasurer. Our captain was Mrs. Hutchinson. Now we were entering the harbor of our Junior year and we had a very good time in this port. In October, we presented our play nThe Boarding House Reachn, with Mr. Rose in the curtains. We cleared enough on this to start our treasury rolling to last us the rest of the journey. We had a little excitement and a financial loss when some thieves stole the safe in the school building. The class officers this year were: Billie Mitchell, President, Junior Newhouse, Vice-Presidentg Jackie Love, Secre- taryg and Mary Lucille Ritter, Treasurer. The final port came into sight as our journey was nearing its end. Ten of our first crew was still on board. Our voyage had gone rather well considering the waves and storms along the route, but now we were going to enjoy it to the utmost, as this would be the last year we would all spend together. The class officers in our Senior year were: Billie Mitchell, President, Clark Goforth, Vice-Presidentg Jayne Ann Martin, Secretary, and Mary Lucille Ritter, Treasurer. Mr. Rose was still aboard for the second straight year. A class trip took us to New York Washington, and other points of interest. Finally ends the most interesting trip in our life and one that we are certain never to forget. Our voyage has ended. We have experienced twelve years of work and play, laughter and tears. We carry with us into the future pleasant memories of our voyage which began and ended in the halls of Arlington. 4- as 44 A---nuff 4 A A - A 44-14,4 1 J-4 44.4 4,,.,l,.-.,,, , .,1u,,A,g A. -,A AAAMQAJ, 1 M4 W 4, :Q ,Y if 4 1 , 4 4431 2 1 - J 4 4 P 1 H I, Q 'r '4- '4' 4 1, :fe si 5: 9 Y g': :E '4 'cl QE ,. ,E 'E ft Dil if if. 2 lg, it rig 4?
