The many activities during the week included Club sell- ing raffle tickets, Student Coun- cil selling shakers and Home- coming ribbons, and cheerleaders selling nnnns. As always the con, struction and completion ol' the lloats lor the lltJlllCt'OIIllIlUk Jar- 5 ade hecanle the goal ol everyone. On lfriclay, October ll, 1968, the coronation ceremony cliniaxs ed the weekls lestivities. Tension mounted as the candidates walk- ed down the aisle. 'lille unhelier- able quickly became reality as the master ol' ceremonies. Curt Wlil- son, announced Todd Somers and Donna Kuharicli as the reigning l0 eouple. Tears ol' happiness and joy were shed by many as King Todd presented Queen Donna to her loyal subjects. The Honieeoin- ing parade concluded the alter- noon's events lor King Todd and Queen Donna and their court. The Iloinecoming spirit conti- nued tluring the lioothall game as the victorious Cardinals sunk the Palatine Pirates 41-0. The linal hours ol' this year's Ifloniecoining were danced away at the Homecoming hall, .'Xutulnn Mist, which was presented hy A Cluh. The Grace Gym was transformed into an atnxosphere litting lor the season as the magic ol' Homecoming 1968 faded away: only memories remained.
