Molehills of paperwork develop into mountains of problems which are Janet Rightmire and Vikki Van Ness confront Mr. Nelson Lowry, dean efficiently solved by Mr. Schaff, Business Administrator at AHS. Always Read To Aid Here's a problem that entails considerable work. Take 2,185 active teenagers, and sprinkle them liberally over a 159-room building. Then help them solve their problems, large and small, and maintain a tidy school for them. Last, balance the budget that provides for all of this activity. Sound unsolvable? Well, it's being done every day at Ar- lington High School. Helping the student understand his relation to the school was the job of Arlington's Dean, Mr. Nelson Lowry, who tried to maintain harmony at A.H. Mr. John Schaff, the school's business manager, is the person to notify if a bus is late. He also directs the financial transactions dealing with the school and its organizations. This year's counselors, Mr. Whiteside, Miss Hampton, Mr. Kunnen, Mr. Cashen, Mr. Claney, Mr. F eiereisel, Mr. Randle, Mr. Thomas, Miss Harrison, Mrs. Riordan, and Miss Craig have helped to guide students in the right di- rection for both the present and the future. The job of filling the stomachs of wild-eyed, hungry students has been filled by the cooking staff under the direction of Miss Mary Handlin. Under the guidance of Mr. William Greismeyer, Ar- lington's new chief engineer, students were for the first time employed to be of aid to the regular janitorial staff. I4 at AHS, with another of those innumerable little white slips of-paper. Knowledge of college is the principal problem of these students who consult senior counselors Miss Hampton and Mr. Whiteside.
