Decfcotion E313 2359925553 I ,, s ' Er I it e K, Y J, all ' jim Hglnliriii-M E E 'a'H ' FLOYD CLINGER In deepest appreciation for the kindness he has shown to all, we the Seniors of 1967, dedicate the Excelsior to Mr. Floyd Shorty Clinger. Shorty was born in Forest, Ohio, on January 3, 1900. He graduated from the eighth grade at Shaw School in 1914. Before coming to Arlington in 1951 as a bus driver, he was employed at Copper Tire 85 Rubber Company, and he also pitched ball and managed baseball teams for 14 years. In 16 years of bus driving, Shorty has transported over 880 students. He has driven buses over 224,000 miles of road. To the present time he has a record of O accidents. Shorty's favorite hobbies are any kind of sports. l-Ie has always enjoyed children, and certainly all the children have enjoyed him. From all those who have had the pleasure of knowing him, we wish Shorty a long and prosperous life.
Memoriom l MRS. HELEN WARREN 1909-1966 This memoriam expresses only a token of the high esteem held by the faculty and stu- dents- for Mrs. Helen Warren. Her concern for the individual child and genuine dedication to teaching provided the key that opened the door of learning for her students. Mrs. Warren taught twenty years, thirteen of them at Arlington Elementary School.
