llBAlINIllID The band .started the 1942 school year by attending the Lucas County Fair where they displayed marching and formation talent. They also played at the Findlay-Adrian College football game at Donell Stadium on October 24. Other activities consisted of playing at all the local football games, two sessions of the Hancock County Fair and a music festival held at Napoleon, Ohio on May 9. They received a high rating at the District Band Contest held at Bowling Green. Those who entered the instrumental district contest at Ada on April ll were: Madge Newman, bassoong Ellen Suter, clarinet: Bill Wilch, eornetp and Printy Arthur, trombone.
