Class History v In September 1957 a crew of about forty-one Freshman started onba tour on the good ship the foSuSc'AHGIiCP. Hiss iickam was our pilot, with our Purser and Keeper of the Logs, Marcia Bailey. Loren Beach was our Captain and Ruby Smith our First Mates To us the high lights of the year are the class party which was held at the school house and the initiation which made us fullefledged sailors. we stopped at Port Summer for three months and then resumed sail! ing again in September, this time bearing the name of Sophomore. Mr. Decker piloted us for the year. with his guidance nothing daunted us, and we became more and more activo in the various duties. Still another September found us starting the third laps of our journey. Skillfully Miss Moore piloted us for another year. Soma change was made in the organization and Betty Grubb became our Purser leaving Marcia more time for keeping an accurate record of our adven- tures. In May we banqueted the Seniors. Our play WThe Haunted Chairw was very well received. By the following September 1919 our ranks had been riddled many times but a large number signed up for one more year, a very, very busy one. Two more new officers were elected this year and Duane Traucht became our Captain, which left Loren more time for his duties as editor, Mr. Bibler our pilot and Mary Lou Fox our Purser. As sen- iors wef took full advantage of our last chance to take part in the various activities. we presented two plays UThe Antics of Andrewn and UOne Mad Nightu. The Annual was our biggest project. Among the last minute stops were for the Baccalaurate and lastly thet Commencement where diplomas were granted to thirty-one as a reward for their dili- gence and loyalty during the tour. As a climax to our Educational tour many were planning to go to Washington D. C. A
