In these final days of the opening the Fair in accord with our promise to the public and when the demand for personal statements reaches a flood stage I believe it my duty to give my entire time to administration work. Will you therefore accept this statement as an expression of my sincere appreciation of your great interest in the fair and convey to your readers the following Welcome to the Fair . The New York Worlds Fair is not only a place of unparalleled enter- tainment but it is important enough to alter the course of World history for the better. In the circumstances the attendance and approval of the greatest possible number of visitors will impart the lesson of the Fair upon human consciousness and guarantee its success as a force in building the world of tomorrow.
