Students, Activities Have Varied Success Deciding on a single idea that will encompass all of the varied ideas, activities, and emotions of a group of people is always difficult. Because of the extreme that this variety was carried to during the past year, this year’s COLT CORRAL carries a very unusual theme. The year had both its ups and downs. The spirit was terrific; the spirit was terrible. The football team did well; they performed far below their ability. Tests were passed; tests were failed. Dances and parties were good; dances and parties were bad. As Charles Dickens said, “It was the best of times; it was the worst of times. It was the age of wisdom; it was the age of foolishness. It was the spring of hope; it was the winter of despair.” However, it was not actually just another year. The success of various activities far outweighed the deficits and combined to make 1967-68 a very good year at Arlington High School.
