Library of Dean P. Corey Library of Dean P. Corey No. 4 A Tourist Class Plane.; AHS Stratocruiser Expected to depart from Arlington High School on May 31,1057 Name of Passenger Library of Dm P rrrcy Passengers booked TO: THE FUTURE VIA-- SUCCESS and HAPPINL5S The class of '57 is the first to graduate from Arlington High School's new one and one-half million dollar building. This building was made necessary by the tremendous growth of Arling- ton's population -- over five hundred per cent in the last six years. The large population in- crease and the accompanying crowded condition of our old building was largely a result of the many workers brought in to this area by the aircraft industry. Since aviation has played such an important part in Arlington's development, we have built the theme of this, the twelfth volume of the Colt Corral, around flight. 2 Arlington High School Arlington, Texas Volume X , 1957 3 FLIGHT The Crew ...faculty... 8 Wheels and Props ...organizations... 30 Personalities Aboard ...favorites... 66 78 106 136 LOG “Air Heroes” ...sports... It is impossible for him to teach just biology and physics — he cannot help giving an informal edu- cation that is not covered in the textbooks. He is loved and admired not only by his classes; for as a sponsor of the Camera Club and the graduating class of 1957, his personal popularity has climbed to even greater heights. For his generosity, humor, and unlimited under- standing, we dedicate the 1957 Colt Corral to MR. C. C. DUFF. I ! •; it  : 11 l ; • . p ) % • ! i: !«• i i H : $; : i !
