Foreword Last year the publishing of the first yearbook was an ex- periment. Not even its most earnest supporters foresaw the eager response and the genuine enthusiasm which were to greet the new publication. Even less did any members of the class fully realize the serious responsibility and the enormous amount of work that go with such an undertaking. This year the class of 1937, profiting from the experiences of the preceding class and anticipating both the labor and the re- ward of such a project, has decided toe continue the custom ini- tiated a year ago and thereby strengthen another Arlington High School tradition. It is with the hope that this book may provide a tangible record of the happy times they have had, the experience they have gained, and the friends they have made during their last four years, that the senior class has published the second volume of Anchors.
