AHHS Gains Faculty in Variety ot Areas Many new. faces appeared on campus this year as eighteen new teachers started their first year on the Hill. Incoming Freshmen Arrive tor First Day at Heights August 29th started the 1978-79 school year as seniors arrived for their last fall registra- tion. The next day, August 30th, the undergraduates signed up for classes in the cafeteria. This first day at school included the orien- tation for freshmen in the audito- rium. This involved explanations of rules, procedures, and activities of Heights. The cheerleaders greeted the frosh with a howdy’ cheer, and National Honor Soci- ety and Spirit of the Hill members assisted the freshmen with their registration. yr | » eG Spirit Boosts Gridders to State Playoffs « Towering spirit and ——— enthusiasm bolstered the Mighty Jacket football team to a perfect 10-0 record in district play. Spirit groups, energetic class members and faculty, and overall school pride also helped to support the team to a victory in bi-district. Again the SOH Spirit Cup was awarded at the pep rally each week to the class with the most spirit. Pe Summing it all up, Gary Williams’ jersey exemplifies, ''We're number one!
