ROTC Cadets Shown Use of ilitary Tactics ,I Y.. , In addition to basic army training, i ROTC participated in a variety of activities. Instructed by Sergeant y , Herman Bersciani and Sergeant Chris Fitzgerald, the corps studied Weapon training, military tactics, and y.,1 ,iii map reading. The corps marched in the Veter- an's Day and All-City Parades. The group also sponsored the Turkey Shoot at Thanksgiving and the annual ROTC Christmas Ball. The battalion was divided into the rifle team, the drill team, and the drum and bugle corp for various competitions. Sponsors for the corps were as follows: Debbie Richards, Twani Bonner, Sylvia Almaguer, Kathy Evans, Georgann Truitt, Joanna johnson, Emma Ware, Marion Kalka, Kathleen Smith, and Paula Hayes. Pan Am Club Promotes Student Understanding Pan Am was a state wide organi- zation designed to promote under- standing between Latin American and American students. The club raised money for the Unicef drive in October and helped with a district project, Tools for Freedomv which collected funds for underprivileged farmers in Mexico.
