Spring Activities S C Revives Ancient Goldfish Custom The ancient art of swallowing live goldfish was revived during the spring activities of '72. Spring Fever Week, sponsored by the Student Council, featured this lively art. It was highlighted by a barbecue, dance and the presentation of the annual golden Coca-Cola awards. An idea became a reality for retired Spanish teacher, Mrs. Evelyn McCluney, when the language department sponsored International Language Day. Each language class contributed by selling Spanish, Ger- man, and French foods. A program including the native dress, dancing, and singing from several countries climaxed the busy activities. A pre-arranged fire drill, planned by Mr. Sharp, afforded the annual staff the opportunity to announce annual day. An O'Leary's fire engine appeared in front of the school car- rying the sign Happy Annual Day. The Political Rally, sponsored by government classes and teachers Mrs. Mary Marsh, Mrs. jean Mitc- hell, and Mrs. Betty Quimby was held on April 21. The rally attracted almost all of the local officials and the representatives of many of the state officials. Students participate actively in the Political Rally April 21, 1972 on the patio. Mrs Vivian Murphy and Sharon Kurk show their concern for politics by listening to local candidates. -fw- f ,,,'4F I aa 'rf ' ' .. af..
