Much creativity and plan- ning was revealed by the signs and posters in the gym. Basketball queen Kit Cope repre- sented Heights in the West Side Lions Beauty Contest and became one of four finalists. With the help of returning round- ballers Craig Cameron and David Krieger and the addition of Como lettermen Carl Webb and Robert Woods, the jackets were led to a suc- cessful season. YOUNQ LIFE Club ims at Religious Consideration In an attempt to present high school students with the New Testament claims of jesus Christ, Young Life Cam- paign held regular meetings at Westover Hills Town Hall. The weekly gatherings hosted two to three hundred Heights students who got together for singing, laughing, skits, and a short Bible lesson. Throughout the year, ski trips, barbeques, and over night field trips were held. Heights students also attended YL summer camps. The club was led by Mr. Dale Vollrath, a Dallas Theolo- gical Seminary graduate, help was provided by Gary Petry, UTA student, Brent Stenberg, Nancy West, and Barb Fer- rand, TCU students. Young Life is an interdenominational non-profit Chris- tian organization.
