S PIRIT Strong Spirit Rallies Iacket Efforts Showing their skillful prowess the preseason favored Yellowdjacket roundballers raced into istrict pla . The pep rallies fired the fight- inglackets on to glory as the spirit of the student body was bonde into a common goal. Coach Iohn Dicker- son, spea ing at the first pep rally, stated that Southwest was standing between the Iackets and district vic- tory, and that they must be met with a stalwart defense. He meant what he said. Heights swept by South- west and stomped archriva Paschal to take the first half of district play Elated, the loyaldlacket fans near y brought the roof own each game as they continually backed the team wit all their enthusiasm. The mighty chant, We're number onef' became the dominating sound at the Public Schools Gym, as Arlington Heights displayed its tproud tradi- tion of' competition an spirit. Crowned as Basketball Queen by Captain Don Kelleyg Christy Mercer represented the Iac ets in the Break- fast Optimist Club Tournament Beauty Contest.
