Her ideas and experiences become a legacy of learning from which her student gains in- spiration and motivation for the rest of his life, Such a teacher is Mrs. Oleta Epps, English instructor and yearbook sponsor, to whom we dedicate the 1963 Yellow Jacket. In the classroom Mrs. Epps grasps the mental hand of her pupil, guiding him through the portal of the world of literature, showing him how to profit from the messages of masters, humbly unaware of the power of her own words. As yearbook sponsor she has elevated the standards for the Yellow Jacket, enabling the student body to benefit from her role in the birth of our book. Her enthusiasm and sincerity have created an unique bond within our staff which has increased the rewards of being a member. With full realization and appreciation of her devotion to us, we dedicate the 1963 Yellow jacket to our own Mrs. Oleta Epps.
