The largest crowd to ever attend a program in the new auditorium was on hand. Every auditorium seat and practically all of the available bleacher seats were filled. Featuring the grade school, the program was declared the best ever. Every boy and girl in all grades participated. Christmas Around the World, was the central theme of the presentation. Carols of many nations were sung. Included were well-known carols from the German, Old English, Czech, Mexican, Polish, French, Ukranian, and Spanish. Specialty solo numbers, musical and instrumental, appealed to the huge audi- ence. The entire Arlington program was under the direction of Mrs. Elsie Jensen, supervisor of music for the grades. Co-operating with Mrs. Jensen were high school music groups, the brass choir and the high school chorus, both under the direction of Mr. Joe Fenniej and the newly organized Speech choir. On Thursday, December 19, Mrs. Jensen directed a Christmas pageant which included all the boys and girls at the Green Isle Grade School. 69 SEATED: Moskop, McCarthy, O'Neil, Crack, Foley.
