NEW SCHOOL The construction of the new Arlington-Green Isle High School began on July 27, 1955. The opening of the 1956-57 school year was delayed for one week. Fourteen new classrooms were added, including rooms for Home Economics, Industrial Arts, Agriculture, Science, lecture and laboratory rooms, Typing, and Bookkeep- ing rooms. A new library and new administrative offices are in the building. The old gym was converted in- to a hot lunch room, with a kitchen having all the latest facilities. The new building also includes a very fine gymnasium with bleacher seating capacity for 1150 persons or 700 chair seats on the main floor. A new stage on one end of the gymnasium completes the arrangements. Students, faculty, alumni, and parents are happy with the additions and improvements made in the Arlington-Green Isle school plant. 3

DEDICATION We, the Senior Class, dedicate the 1957 Indian to Mr. Stanley G. Cina, our principal, for his many years of service at Arlington- Green Isle High School. As a teacher and as a friend, he has been an inspiration to the many young people who have been under his supervision during the eleven years of his instruction here. The very fine work he has promoted through community educational projects will be continued by those who have come in contact with him. In sincere appreciation for all his fine work, we are proud and happy to pay him lasting tribute through this, the 1957 Indian. O.K. let's settle down now.1 5
