The Indians of Coach Larry Lacewell sported a new look this year — the wishbone. The highly-potent ground oriented offense had the Tribe ranking high nationally until a series of wet field conditions and downpours hampered the outside running game. The defense once again was outstanding. Although the Tribe lost a few by close scores, it put the fear of Indian-Power into several teams. Construction began in August, 1980 on the new Communications - Education building. Certainly a new attraction, it is expected to be completed by June, 1982. It will contain three stories and incorporate some 80,000 square feet of floor space. Cost of the new complex, which includes its own parking lot, will be almost $4Vi million. 4

Building displays is a Homecoming activity that takes a lot of planning and hard work. Organizations on campus joined together this year to create colorful scenes using the theme Cajun Catastrophe. The displays were moved this year to the stadium area. Other Homecoming activities include choosing royalty, selling mums and of course the competitive football game. Registration is an event at ASU that occurs once a semester. Students spend most of their time standing in lines to get master cards and class cards. Last summer, incoming freshmen were enrolled by computer ... a process which may be in store for all of us in the near future. 6
