Freshmen I Arrive for Orientation On September 8 some 2,338 confused fresh- men converged on the ASU campus for a week of orientation. They came with varied expectations, but all stayed basically the same way — confused. The various meetings began and students were introduced to their advisors and were given a brief counseling before they were faced with registration. During the week an attempt was made to help the students get acquainted by the staging of a dance on the Kroger parking lot and one in the Ballroom of the Carl R. Reng Center. By the end of the week most freshmen at least knew where to find the Field House and the Reng Center Ballroom and how to do a few of the latest dance steps. 20 ,1
