Graduation: The Final Step From all parts of the coun- try, the January graduates poured onto the A-State cam- pus and met with la grads and administration and faculty members to don the graduation gowns and sit through the sol- emn ritual of graduation. Including the 155 January grads who had to wait until May to receive their diplomas, a record number ot 580 persons were granted degrees in the ceremonv held in Kays Stadium.

KA Downs ft LXA In Little 500 Amidst a barrage of skinned knees, broken steering sys- tems, passenger cars clogging the race track, and other such malfunctions, and misfortunes, Kappa Alpha ' s Rebel emerged the winning entry in Lambda Chi Alpha ' s Little 500. Kappa Delta and Zeta Tau Alpha, both entering the event for the first time, walked away with the best decorated car and the Tricycle Grand Prix, respectively. Alpha Omicron Pi ' s Ped- al Pusher topped the sorority competition. The humor was provided by the Sigma Pi ' s. After post- ing the slowest time in the event, they drove their car off the track, turned it over and burned it. Little 500 Queens were (from left) Valerie Gullia.
