Teke ' s, AOPi Win Songfest Wonders Never Cease may have been the overall theme of the annual Alpha Omicron Pi Songfest, judging from the results. AOPi again captured its own tro- pin, but the surprise of the night came when Tan Kappa Epsilon made its en- trance into the winner s circle with a touching rendition of Ballad of the Green Berets and When I Survey the Wondrous Cross. The heat of the spotlights almost matched that of many of the Greeks and guests as the announcement was made. The overall consensus of opin- ion of the night was summed up when one Teke said, You ' ve got to be kidding. Karen Norton, AOPi president, stands beside winning directors, Fonda Bishop and Dale Morris. The w inning Sigma Phi Epsilon team consisted of Butch Eskridge, Lam Rose, John Armstrong and Joe Arnold Mike not in Patterson, Carolyn and Diane Sayre bowled Chi Omega Team. SPE, Chi O Win Bowling Sigma Phi Epsilon and Chi Omega were the winners in the 1968 Sigma Phi Epsilon Greek Bowling Tournament. The Sig Eps topped Alpha Tau Omega 2,078 to 1,987, while the Chi O ' s got their victory over the Alpha Gamma Delta team 1,449 to 1,352. The women ' s All-Greek team included Diane Sayre, Becky Boyd, Carolyn Newkirk Puryear, Suzanne Wright, Frances Simpson and Sue Jones. The men named were Joe Arnold, Larry Rose, Larry Smith, Sandy Stanfield, Dick Tipton and Harry Truman Moore. 3

KA Downs ft LXA In Little 500 Amidst a barrage of skinned knees, broken steering sys- tems, passenger cars clogging the race track, and other such malfunctions, and misfortunes, Kappa Alpha ' s Rebel emerged the winning entry in Lambda Chi Alpha ' s Little 500. Kappa Delta and Zeta Tau Alpha, both entering the event for the first time, walked away with the best decorated car and the Tricycle Grand Prix, respectively. Alpha Omicron Pi ' s Ped- al Pusher topped the sorority competition. The humor was provided by the Sigma Pi ' s. After post- ing the slowest time in the event, they drove their car off the track, turned it over and burned it. Little 500 Queens were (from left) Valerie Gullia.
