Leadership Retreat: Students Take Over The 1968 Leadership Retreat was marked by some of the best discussions and presenta- tions in the outing ' s history. Although Friday night ' s sessions lacked a little luster, things got rolling Saturday, and when the evening finally closed students were wishing it hadn ' t, for the campus leaders still had many queries. A handful of students spent Friday night around a card table, then presented the others with a breakfast serenade about their experiences. For the most part, though, there were few frivolities, for the topics at hand were serious. Dean Moore didn ' t even get his usual dunking in the lake of Walcott ' s state park Some students played volleyball during the Saturday afternoon break. The w inning Sigma Phi Epsilon team consisted of Butch Eskridge, Lam Rose, John Armstrong and Joe Arnold Mike not in Patterson, Carolyn and Diane Sayre bowled Chi Omega Team. SPE, Chi O Win Bowling Sigma Phi Epsilon and Chi Omega were the winners in the 1968 Sigma Phi Epsilon Greek Bowling Tournament. The Sig Eps topped Alpha Tau Omega 2,078 to 1,987, while the Chi O ' s got their victory over the Alpha Gamma Delta team 1,449 to 1,352. The women ' s All-Greek team included Diane Sayre, Becky Boyd, Carolyn Newkirk Puryear, Suzanne Wright, Frances Simpson and Sue Jones. The men named were Joe Arnold, Larry Rose, Larry Smith, Sandy Stanfield, Dick Tipton and Harry Truman Moore. 3
