Growing Up. . There ' s no material way to evaluate the academic growth at Arkansas State University. You have to look to find it, but the results are quickly obvious. The school now has over 100 faculty and staff members with doctorate degrees. The instructional staff has been organized into six colleges with 18 divisions, and there are also three independent divisions, including the recently added Division of Nursing. Academic facilities have been expanded to fill the growing student needs. The new science building is an example, for its educational facilities are second to none in the state. The ASU library is ever increasing its volumes, and the physical capacity of the library is soon to be expanded to provide a better foundation of academic growth. 6
