A Time To Breathe.. A year is a staccato, vibrant thing. It passes like flashes of light — dawns and sunsets — -that blaze in the memory. It is filled with times for venturing, achieving. But there are times when a student must quieten . . . halt his whirl- ing head and breathe awhile . . . gasp air and laugh deep in his throat. Somber times, when, with quickened vitality, one learns that campus is more than urgency and unrest.

Nights are long before exams . . . but sometimes still too short. By 3 a.m. the coffee is cold and stagnant. And somehow brow-wrinkling can ' t seem to bring that blurred page into focus anymore. The dorm sounds ceased hours ago; the silence now is a screaming distraction. Minutes crawl. Keeping your eyes open is agony. So yawn, curse your lack of will power — and study. That ' s what you ' re here for.
