Busy Time Gets Busier A time when there ' s not enough time; a week of joy and frustration; a chance for the folks to see their offspring ' s new home; a long awaited alumni get-together to remember their old home. In ' 74 the anguish and sweat will be forgotten. We ' ll all be back if we can and remember everything good that happened. Sentiments of the A-State student body are reflected in the displays (First place, stationery division, Pemm Club above; and second place, stationery with lights, AOPi left). Bottom, the homecoming queen and court from left to right — Linda Graham of Upper Montclair, N.J.; Peggy Hunter of Jonesboro; Nita Vanhook of Newport; Sally Lynn Dennis of Caraway; and Sue Stewart of Piggott, queen. After a four-hour delibera- tion, in which each girl was screened for personality and poise, these five were picked from twenty-three lovelies competing to represent the student body on this day of days.

Beat Rain-Barely Mechanical division first place was copped this year by Lambda Chi Alpha. Displays began to feel the effects of an all-night light sprinkle by game time, but visitors were able to see the myriad displays in action Friday afternoon and night. A major worry every year is the weather, which can create havoc in a matter of minutes in what was once a gigantic project involving nearly every mem- ber of every participating organization on campus. Ex- hibits are judged at noon on the Friday before the game, and the three divisions — stationary, stationary with lights, and mechanical — continue to grow as more and more groups organize and become active. It ' s an amazing ex- ample of cooperation.
