Carl R. Reng Center Is New Dimension In Comfort, Beauty The center hub of all A-State student activity, this massive maze of lounges, offices, recreation centers and cafeteria facilities has changed, remapped the student ' s way of life. Long halls, huge rooms, friendly faces-the Carl R. Reng Center is the nucleus of campus life. It is the place where one comes to eat, to rest, and to play. Rarely does one pass the day with- out coming here for some reason, simply because there is so much here. The largest and best equipped union of its kind in Arkansas, it hosts not only students but civic groups and state organizations in a large variety of meetings and conferences. The union is first choice of student groups that want complete privacy and the best in meeting facilities. It is a complete small city in itself, with scores of employees tending and fixing, cooking and cleaning. Best of all, it is a place where one can bring the family and feel a real pride. LATE AFTERNOON — finds the Reng Center seemingly resting for the new flurry of activity later on in the evening. ONE EXPECTS— the best in good eating and fine service here, and is seldom disappointed. 1 1

MAINTENANCE— Big business here. Room To Relax Where do you go when you meet a friend? Where do you go to relax and do what you want to? Where do you eat, bowl, shoot pool, vote, dance, almost anything? — the Reng Center. Its friendly, yet dignifiea atmosphere makes college an experience to be enjoyed, a life set apart from any in the student ' s memory. It was a long time coming, but it is now as much a part of student life as if it had been the first building built on the campus. Soft music, restful colors, comfortable couches, and other students make this a haven for those seeking companionship and a place to get away from the grind of a day ' s classes. It ' s there for every- one, and the way the parking lot stays jammed, everyone knows it. A FORM — Bowling proved popular. DIGGING IN— Emily would be proud. 13
