BARNHART HALL was built in 1912 and is one of the oldest buildings on campus. Tbe dormitory houses approximately 50 stu- dents. LEWIS HALL was built in 1912, soon alter the college was found- ed. Lewis is home for 45 girls. Ml WOMEN ' S RESIDENCE HALL was erected in 1933 and is the largest girls dorm on campus. It houses 150 girls during the regular school year. Each of ASC ' s three sororities have their club- rooms in the basement of the building.

THE NEW MEN ' S DORM is one of the new- est dorms on campus. It was built in 1954 and houses 90 upperclassmen. The dormitory is completely modern. THE COLLEGE CLUB was erected in 1930 as a faculty apartment building. To meet the growing demand for more dormitory space on campus, it was converted into a beys ' dorm. Approximately 60 boys live in the dorm during the school year. DANNER HALL was built in 1933 under one of the first WPA programs in the United States. Danner is named for Mr. W. S. Danner, a long time member of the Arkansas State College Board of Trustees and benefactors of ASC. The dorm is the home of over 200 boys. 10

THE GYMNASIUM is the scene of all home basketball games. It also serves as classrooms for courses in Health and Physical Education. THE AGRICULTURE BUILDING was built in 1938 and serves as a classroom for all agriculture majors and minors. There are approximately It) classrooms in the building. THE FINE ARTS BUILDING was built in 1919 and was re- modeled last year in order to supply students with more prac- tice and classrooms. It now has approximately 40 classrooms, of- fices, and practice rooms. 12
