KAWC is in the process of separating the AM and cable FIVI so that the students can work as disc jockeys, nevvscasters, and announcers while the public can tune in to public affairs programs. The staff is composed of four full-time, professional staffers and forty studentsg however there are eighty students involved in the broad- casting program. KAWC has been operating since July, 1970.
