The warm climate and relaxed lifestyle of the Southwest contributed to the laid- back atmosphere that many people perceived to be the prevailing attitude. However, things were not always how they ap- peared on the surface. ASU ' s student body was made up of manydifferent people, all sharing similar ambitions.
