It was one of the first in the nation to be built in a college radio laboratory. The IA boys roll up their sleeves and have at it to make Prog- ress one of their special words.

SCIENCE Ve re living in a scientific world a world in which Einsteins, Oppenheimers, and Millikans may well hold the key to human survival or extinction. Recognizing the importance of science and its contributions to society, ASC has developed an extensive department in that field, housed in the most modern laboratory of its kind in the west. Chemistry. Zoology. Botany, Biology, Physics at ASC, you have the opportunity to investigate these and other major sciences. The laboratory plays the most important part of all in the life of the scientist to be, as the intent expressions on the faces of the students below indicate. Yes, even required biology hints to less scientific students the importance of science in this uncertain world of Century 20.

JOURNALISM Journalism, blossoming this year into a four year degreeable course, went big time, investigatory and augmented. That means on the day you reach for a diploma inscribed Journalism it is ordained that you be not only a campus commentator with a puissant pen but an individual who has exposed himself to a great deal of mundane information without which you just aren ' t a newspaperman. The new journalism lab worked integrally with the two-a-week SP. Surrounding are pix of the fourth estaters in action, lower lefthand personalities being Ernest J. Hopkins, division head, Agee, SP headitor, and the two first-semester edition chiefs, Kively and McMorris.
