GOOD- BY - r Mark, Oh Mark, we’ll miss you! Through each and every day. Even though we know that Jesus Will gently lead the way. Just sixteen years ago A little boy was born. His father was s £ i hapr His mother proud that morn. From babe to boy to youth, They watched him slowly grow, A gentle soul who loved the farm And never had a foe. By now he had some company, A sister and a brother, ! Oh, Laurie, Keith and Mark could fight, But how they loved each other! Mark, Oh Mark, we’ll miss you! Through each and every day. Even though we know that Jesus will gently lead the way. His grandparents doted on him And for his future made bright plans, They talked and dreamed and shared, Of the time he’d become a man. Then one night he went away, Never to come back! And just for a second, we all forgot That God never lets us lack! For even though Mark is gone. He lives within our hearts, And one day soon, we’ll see him Never again to part. Mark, Oh Mark, we’ll see you! In each and every day! You’re so much a part of us, Nothing can take you away. Mark Jackson was the first child born to Sally and Ardell Jackson, June 26, 1962. He was our classmate from kindergarten through grade eleven. Together we approached each school year with mutual hopes and dreams. Mark was active in the Argyle High School chapter of the Future Farmers of America, football, basketball, both as a manager and as a player, as well as in dramatics. Through our associations with him, we learned to appreciate his cheerful and friendly manner. He lost his life in a tragic car accident in October, 1978, hut his memory will remah with us forever. Mark’s parents and classmates have established a citizenship-based memorial plaque in his honor.
