JUNIOR PROM The 1970 Junior Prom had as its theme “Romeo and Juliet” and was held in a setting reminiscent of the time of the Montagues and Capulets. Joe Rossing and Gretchen Nelson (above) were chosen King and Queen. Prom week was hectic as usual for the class and advisors and their efforts were rewarded with a well-attended and financially rewarding event. Minaturc king and queen were Arthur Thompson and Caroline Rossing. 14

HOMECOMING 1970 Queen Rhonda Vlasak and King Harlan Emberson reigned over the many events of Homecoming 1970. One of the finest parades in years brought many entries from not only the school but also the community. Attendants from the four classes (as shown at the bottom of the following page) were sophomores Ron Fuchs and Gayle Nysted, juniors Roger Godfrey and Carla Nysted, freshmen John Crotty and Laura Ross-ing, seniors Kim Bahe and Janice Barry. 16
