LIBRARY Student library assistants were first organized as a club several years ago and called themselves the Shelf Shufflers. These students do their school an invaluable service. Among their duties is charging books, reshelving and shelf-reading to keep materials in proper order so they can be found immediately. Another important and never-ending job is that of processing new books; this includes accessioning, classifying, cataloging and filing cards, and the complete marking of books to ready them for the reader. Bulletin boards, mending and records are further responsibilities. Though supreme effort and accomplishment are recognized on Award Day, all these student librarians deserve a vote of thanks from the student body. One of the social activities of the club is the annual Christmas party at which all enjoy a fine meal, fun and exchange of gifts. LIBRARY OFFICERS.
