ELISE B. ROSS Mrs. Ross began her undergraduate work at St. Olaf College and obtained her degree from the University of Wisconsin. She first taught here in the 1931-1932 school year. The next years found her engaged as an x-ray technician, a job she still continues during the summer vacation. Teaching called her back to Argyle in January of 1950 and she has been here ever since, teaching English and Speech. Those who have studied under her agree she is an excellent teacher of Shakespeare, grammar and composition. To be credited to her is the much success Argyle High has had in dramatics and forensics. We of the Senior Class can recall many times when her friendly personal advice has helped us through the past four years. Mrs. Ross is both a big-hearted person as well as an ambitious, forthright teacher, and we are pleased to dedicate this edition of Treasured Echoes to her. 5

Mr. Morgan is a versatile, active and well-liked man. His many responsibilities as principal of the school are only a part of his duties. Many of the members of the Senior Class know him as an interesting English and Latin teacher as well as a helpful advisor. We appreciate the numerous deeds of service to ail in our school and to the community through his positions as Village Treasurer, Christmas Seal Chairman and active Lions Club member. We admire him for existing on a noon lunch of one chocolate malt. PETER J. MORGAN 4
