SPEECH We can be justifiably proud of the work done by the Speech department. Although special emphasis is given to speech during the Freshman year, all students are expected to follow those basic rules of speech in all their classes. Extra help is given by Mrs. Ross and Mr. Maroushek to those students participating in forensics contests. On the right we see Randy Paulson as he gets prepared for his speech at our local forensics contest. HISTORY Dennis Dillon is trying to get the attention of his World History teacher. This course is an elective for all students. The other history course, American history, is required of all Juniors. SOCIAL STUDIES The two Social Studies courses offered this year are required courses. All Seniors must take Social Problems and all Freshmen must take Citizenship. One section of the Citizenship class is shown listening to a lecture by Mr. Roth. 25
