ANDY AND ANN ARGYLE Barbara Smith Jerry Davis Barbara Smith and Jerry Davis by popular poll Were chosen by classmates to act out the role Of a typical Argyle High School day. From picture to picture they'll show you the way That we study in library and listen in class--But now for a bit about this lad and lass. The names Ann and Andy are really quite old. As for years in our school the story's been told That Ann means all girls of Argyle High, And Andy's the name Argyle's boys go by! But this year in Argyle an idea occurred — Student approval was unanimously heard--And so it was settled without pain or strife That Ann and Andy should come to life. So the kids all decided to vote on a pair, A boy and a girl who would willingly wear The title of Ann and Andy when elected. So we all took one ballot and soon we selected. Two popular Argylites everyone knew, A boy and a girl, personalities true; With clean-cut faces; and neat attire; They're two swell kids whom we all admire. Barbara and Jerry are the ones we chose, For Ann and Andy's pictures they pose. Barbara's a student who studies hard in Home-Ec., shorthand and gym. If ever you have a job to be done, Call on Barbara; she is the one Who will do her best in every task; She's willing to work, whenever you ask. Now Jerry as Andy is important in school. As president he keeps steadfast rule; His classes are tough, but he keeps on the job And the kids all like him 'cause he's not a snob. They're typical students, as each picture shows, So follow their day from beginning to close. 18
