lauqfdazoaq On a September Day 1n 1949 twenty f1ve eager but shy ch1ld ren salled lnto A H S to begm thelr h1gh school career Thls was to be our Freshman year Before we had a chance to anchor ourselves the Sophomores got out r1bbons and grease pamts and we were 1n1t1ated 1nto A H S A few weeks later we were asked to contr1bute a float for the I-Iomecommg wh1ch we called Steps To the Future Durlng the year we ga1ned two new members Gene Frauch1ger and Bernard Bredeson Ro er Jacobson left us to go to Mmeral Po1nt Th1s ended our Fres man year After havmg anchored our sh1p for a vacatron of three months we were back to beg1n our Sophomore year Over vacatron we had lost four class members Edner Severson Margaret Wells Ken ney Robertson and Bernard Bredeson We made another float called Sa1l Over Bellev1lle Do we serve from or take from the I'1ght7 We g1rls were asked to serve at the Annual .Tumor Sen1or Banquet Dor1s Weston Jomed our class at the semester How ever we had lost four more classmates Florence Goecks June Kr1stofferson LaVerne Severson and Gene Frauch1ger By th1s Our Jumor year was our bus1est year Tower Over Juda' was the t1t1e for our float Two more members of our class left s Carole Elcher and Dor1s Weston By th1s t1me we were get t1ng hungry so we began makmg plans for the Banquet We dec orated the hall m blue and wh1te wrth Moon Glow ' as our theme Three down one to o and we were off on our Sen1or year w1th three members less andra Watk1ns D1ck Hawley and Melv1n Flmt Th1s was another busy year We publ1shed a school paper once a month and undertook the b1g task of ed1t1ng an annual S1nce th1s was elect1on year we dec1ded to make a float wh1ch would remmd the people of the commumty to vote We called our float Get Out and Vote We would all 11ke to take a moment here to thank the faculty the school board the Jamtor underclassmen and parents who have made these four years m A H S happy and successful On May Zlst our sh1p w1ll sa1l out of A H S but th1s t1me we must anchor ourselves to a successful future As we Entered To Learn now we w1l1 Depart To Serve , - . . - , , ,, . . . : 1 1 ' , . ll ' ' ll u , : I , . , . time we needed a rest so we anchored for another three months.
