'PnrftAecy The class of 1959 is assembling at the V.I. where we are holding our class reunion. The date is June 19, 1969; the time is 3 am. We notice Marcia Archard is at the bar where we left her two years ago. As we look around we see Linda Lewis warming up her voice with the scales. Currently Miss Lewis is starring at the Met but was able to take a few hours to be with us. Ed Hamilton is coming in now with a pool table he offered to loan us from his gambling casino. Melvin arrives with his head in a sling, having recently been involved in an accident. We are very happy to see Donna Bain and very grate- ful to the President for allowing her the night off as his private secretary. Sandy is running from table to table trying to find a buyer for her Ford. She still hasn't sold It! We are going to have pheasant for the main course, but since Jesse is now with the government as official Pheasant Protector we decided against it. We noticed Bill Galusha asleep in the corner; he thinks he's still in the senior play. Silence falls in the room as a humble figure in flowing robes enters. It is George who recently became a monk in one of the highest orders. Sidney sends her regrets at not being here; she is too busy as the number one rock'n roll singer. Lyn Yarter is busy at the bar answering letters in her Lonely Hearts Club. Ed Colvin is unable to be with us since he is confined to a mental ward at Marcy. Miss Pember is a bit depressed this evening because of her modeling career. She just found out that they want her feet rather than her figure. Muggs arrives wearing leotards which are part of his ballet costume. We’re unhappy to see Nansy isn’t here; she just could't leave Cambridge. Lynn, Paul and Don arrive directly from the Barnum and Bailey Circus. Still in their costumes are Lynn the Fat Lady, Don the Ring Master and Paul the Lion Tamer. Marilyn comes in quite excited exclaiming that she has just won the Kentucky Derby with her horse Champ. This is beginning to become quite a party. As we look around, we notice there are only 11 missing. Hold everything! Here come the test drivers for Ford Motor Company, Dick and Chuck. Because of their well-known skill in handling cars, they landed the job. Betsy and Kalista provided the beverage for the evening as they are in partnership in a liquor business. Norn Stevens is providing the music since he is now head musican for the Stompers. Bea and Ann arrive rather dirty, coming fresh from a cemetery where they have been at their occupation, grave digging. Ken and Davine are sitting at one of the tables reading a book on Baby Care because their nursery school will open soon. Pat Liddle comes walking in bouncing a basketball. As we understand, she joined the Harlem Globetrotters recently. Well, I guess everyone has finally arrived. But wait! Who is that gentleman dressed in black coming through the door now? Why, it’s Joe Lutz who has just finished filming the last episode of Zorro. After an enjoyable evening we say goodbyes but resolve to return 10 years hence.
