Samnur Qflleaa 'Mustafa CLASS OFFICFRS First Semester Second Semester Addie Kinney President Marlene Brundage Martha Lewis Vice President Don Jesseph Leota Olmstead Secretary Treasurer Faye Coley In September of 1950 twenty five green freshmen appeared in the class rooms and halls of A H S Among the familiar faces some new ones were seen We were initiated by the upperclassmen by being required to do jobs and run errands for the seniors The girls had o dress as football players and the boys dressed as girls, carrying dolls In the evening we were given a party and the day wasn't as bad as we had thought it might be. Mr Swinger was our sponsor that year Es sophomores we had much Vim, Vigor, and Vitality We entered enthu siastically into all the activities of the school, taking part in clubs, Since the beginning of our high school days there have been more girls than boys in our class In our sophomore year we had 13 girls and 7 boys That year we started the fund for our Senior Trip We sold magazines setting our goal at S600 OO and surpassed the goal, making more money than any other class had up to that time. As juniors we started the year with our main interest centered on concessions for the football and basketball games This proved to be profitable for us because we worked hard at it Our Junior Play, People Are 23221, was presented before one of the largest audiences ever to attend an A H S play The winning side in the ticket sales contest was treated to a party by the losing side In the spring of our junior year we worked and slaved on the banquet honoring the seniors Our theme, nUnder Western Skies was developed into one of the prettiest and most effective there had been for several years Everyone had a lot of fun during this year, and incidentally did his share of work cv cv and athletics. . Now we are on our last lap as we enter our senior year Out of the 19 in our class we find 7 who have gone to school together since the first grade Janis Achelpohl, Faye Coley, Duane Earles, Ronnie Jones, Addie Kinney, Gary Tracy, and Jackie Olmstead The main event so far this year, was our Bingo and Ice Cream Party We are looking forward to an enjoyable banquet, a successful ple and a fun packed Senior trip to Colorado Thinking back to the fun and the friendships we have had in makes us almost regret that we are leaving But we are looking forward hopefully to the future and what it has to offer us HOW THE SENIORS LOCKED IN THL QIXTH GRADE -,,- JI,-a COLORADO OR BUST I I Yo A.
